Manifest Season 4 Part 2

Manifest Season 4 Episode 4 “Go Around” Review

Manifest is a supernatural drama television series created by Jeff Rake. The final season (Season 4) aired on Netflix on November 4, 2022. Let’s discuss Episode 4 of Manifest called “Go Around”. Joining me (Rike) are Mandy, Anna Maria and Evi. Are you ready for this one? Let’s go then, but don’t forget to fasten your seatbelt before starting to read this.

Q: Jared (J.R. Ramirez) and Drea (Ellen Tamaki). Are they the new danger duo and might lose their jobs? Are you getting Mick and Jared flashbacks?

R: They risk their jobs for the Stone family every then and now, and this could lead to consequences. Jared already experienced this, so he should know better. But he’s a good guy and truly wants to help whenever he can, and is still there for the Stone family after everything that happened in the past. This should be honored in a big way.

M: I honestly can see Jared losing his job or going to work for Vance (Daryl Edwards). He’s already up on their radar because of his history with the Stone family, so I can see him more in a dangerous position than Drea.

A: Definitely getting a bit of Mick (Melissa Roxburgh) and Jared flashbacks. I hope they won’t lose their jobs. But I know Jared would do anything to help Mick and the Stone family, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he at least gets in the position of almost losing his job. I just hope it will be worth it for him somehow.

E: Definitely. Jared and Drea are both made for those jobs, and they’ll do whatever it takes. I expect them to get in trouble with the Registry. But I really hope they don’t lose their jobs. I love the NYPD and now the Registry aspect in the show, with them possibly getting fired, that would be gone.

Q: Ben (Josh Dallas) is in danger. What do you think is going to happen to him now? Do you agree with his decision to do this rescue mission on his own?

R: As the audience, you could have seen this one coming. It always ends like that. One person wants to do it on their own and ends up in big trouble. What did he think would happen? He walks into this house, gets Eden, and then just drives back home? Hopefully he won’t get hurt. I’m scared to watch the next episodes.

M: I wasn’t shocked at all. It was very predictable. I was more shocked that Vance fell for it. Like does he not know by now. I don’t agree with him going on his own, but he’ll do what he thinks is best anyway. All I can see is it ending badly for him, because there’s no backup for him when it goes sideways.

A: This is so typical Ben. I mean, I understand he doesn’t want to put Vance or anyone else at risk, especially after learning that Vance is divorced and has “lost” his family. I guess he will be taken and maybe locked up in a room or something, it’s all a bit unpredictable now.

E: My first reaction was: ‘yep, he did it again’. This is one of the few decisions where I have zero understanding of his behavior. He should know by now that dangerous situations like that as an 828 passenger are not okay. Vance is a reliable person, and Ben should know that. It’s always good to have some backup in case something goes wrong. He’s definitely getting in trouble, there is no possible situation where he just walks in, takes Eden and leaves the house.

Q: Divine Consciousness. Do you think the riddle is solved now, or is there more to it?

R: There’s definitely more to it. I mean, otherwise the series could just end now, right? There are many episodes left, so the mystery isn’t solved now. Many questions we don’t even know about yet. They’ll appear anytime soon. Just wait for it to happen. This can’t be that easy.

M: Considering we have 10 more episodes to go after part 1, I will say there’s more to it. But honestly, I still don’t get the whole divine consciousness thing. Science never was my thing anyways. There’s going to be more I can feel it in my water.

A: There’s definitely more to it. It wasn’t like a “Ah I understand everything now”-moment for me, but it is still a bit confusing with the glow and the divine consciousness. We definitely need to get a lot more answers.

E: I was so confused, but it kinda made sense. I’m still thinking about it, and I can’t figure it out. It is something. But it’s not ‘the’ answer.
