The Witcher – Breaking News

With Halloween around the corner, the nerd collective eagerly awaits news about “The Witcher”. Mainly the announcement of the release date for season 3 of the beloved fantasy show. Tonight, however, the show’s star Henry Cavill has dropped a bombshell news on Instagram (followed by the official account of the show):

After season 3 he will step away from his role of Geralt of Rivia!

Henry Cavill fans should not despair, however, as this comes shortly after the announcement / revelation (Go watch Black Adam if you don’t know what this is about!) that he is back in the role of Superman. Therefore, there will be plenty of supernatural action with him in the future!

The Witcher Season 4

Fans of the show were immediately comforted in the Instagram post, as the show will continue. Liam Hemsworth will be taking over the role of Geralt in season 4.

He is the younger brother of Chris Hemsworth and is known to a larger audience for his roles in the Hunger Games franchise and The Expendables II.

While this development is certainly a shock for the fans of the show, it is also a chance to see another interpretation of the character. The question remains, if the show somehow addresses the change. As we all know, magic can make a lot of things happen! I happened to be a fantasy writer with tons of ideas on the matter.

What do you think about this development? Do you think Liam Hemsworth can do the part justice? Let us know in the comments!
